The Fernie Gravel Grind Women's Ride

New to the Fernie Gravel Grind weekend line up in 2024 is the FGG Women’s Ride! Join us Friday July 12th at 3:30pm for a little taster of the FGG course, meet other ladies and score a few last minute tips from our VIP Guest Riders!

Groups will be led on a 1hr-1.5hr loop by local female legends at a social, no-drop pace. We are incredibly lucky to have 2x Canadian Olympian Leah Kirchmann and ultra-endurance & bike packing badass  Meaghan Hackinen riding with us!

Check in at the FGG Tent in the Expo. Ride starts & finishes in Station Square.

FAQ

Ride is open to female and female identifying riders of any background and skill level. Experienced riders are welcome and we would be happy to have you share your expertise, but please be respectful that rides are tailored to creating a positive experience for beginner-intermediate riders.

Anyone is welcome! You do not need to be registered for the Fernie Gravel Grind, but you MUST sign a waiver. The waiver will be sent out by email. Please make sure you register above.

Being an inclusive event we cater to riders using a wide range of gear. By no means do you need to be running the latest and greatest gear, but there are a few basic requirements to make sure you have an enjoyable experience.

Gravel/Cyclocross or mountain bike in good working condition (working brakes, gears are shifting smoothly and tires pumped up. If you are unsure about any of these items swing by a local shop and we’re positive someone will be happy to help you out!) Sorry, no road bikes!

Helmet mandatory. Optional, but highly recommended:

  • Gloves
  • Glasses
  • Rain jacket or extra layer for unpredictable weather
  • Water bottle or hydration pack
  • Snack or two for riding
  • Tool bag including a tube, co2 or handpump, and allen keys/multi-tool
