Nestled between the Rocky Mountains and Ponderosa pines, the Cranbrook Gravel Grind (CGG), and its 8th Wonder of the World courses return for the 4th edition.

The CGG showcases the world class gravel riding that surrounds Cranbrook, BC. Welcoming any and all riders, the 56 and 102 kilometre routes will showcase the Cranbrook Community Forest, Chief Isadore Trail Network, Trans Canada Trail, and Mount Baker Forestry Service Roads. 

The CGG offers an incredibly unique experience for new and experienced riders with a course that is designed for cyclists with physical impairment in mind, suiting cyclists of all abilities, hand-cyclists and tandems included.

Skip the race-morning chaos and grab your package Friday at Idlewild Park! Meet other riders, spin out the legs on a pre-ride, chat with industry vendors, and enjoy a pint at the beautiful Idlewild Park as the weekend kicks off.

The Gravel Grind 

With two epic routes to choose from, riders will spend Saturday morning and early afternoon conquering some of the most scenic and expertly crafted gravel in Canada. Both the 56km Gold Rush Loop and the 101km Big Foot Loop will be fully marked, with well-stocked Aid Stations along the way, packed with top-notch ride fuel and AGES’ famously 11/10 stoked volunteers to make sure every rider crosses the line with a smile and a deep sense of pride in what they’ve just accomplished.

Post-Race Celebrations

After an epic day uncovering Cranbrook’s hidden backroad gems, the fun doesn’t stop! Join riders, friends, and family at beautiful Idlewild Park for the post-race festivities. Kick back and enjoy a delicious meal, sip on local brews from the beer garden, groove to live music, cheer on finishing riders, and celebrate your favorites at the awards ceremony!

Gold Rush Loop

From local riders to BC Epic adventurers the 56km Gold Rush Loop has earned a special place in countless hearts, and for good reason. This unforgettable course takes you around Mount Baker, showcasing every type of 'gravel' terrain showcasing the masterpiece that is the Chief Isadore Trail before finishing through the stunning Cranbrook Community Forest.  Big Foot Loop

Just like the legend itself, the Big Foot Loop is the 8th wonder of the world, offering 102km of gravel riding you never knew existed. This one-of-a-kind route circles Mount Baker before taking you along the incredible Chief Isadore Trail and the Trans Canada Trail, then rolling through the Wardner farmland with jaw-dropping views of the Steeples mountain range and Lake Koocanusa. Ride it once, and you’ll understand why this is a course you’ll never forget.
