Fast. Fierce. Femme. Fernie.

Fernie Femmduro is where fierce meets fabulous. An enduro event designed for self-identifying women and non-binary riders who want to push their limits and have a damn good time doing it because being fast, feminine and having fun don’t have to be mutually exclusive. Whether you’re launching the biggest drops or conquering your first technical feature, badass looks different on everyone, and we’re here for all of it.

The race stages wind through Mount Fernie Provincial Park, showcasing the terrain that makes this place iconic. Fernie has a reputation for steep, technical riding, but here’s the thing: with this community behind you, you’ll do things you didn’t think you could. We’re here to give you a boost, both literally and figuratively. Choose between our Long Course for riders ready to push it, or our Short Course for those building confidence and skills.

Between stages, the energy is contagious. Social, supportive, and unapologetic. This is where you can be serious about your time splits and your mascara. Where pushing limits and having fun aren’t just compatible, they’re the whole point.

Fernie Femmduro is brought to you by Anything Goes Event Series in collaboration with the Fernie Trails Alliance, with local female riders leading the charge. Built by riders, for riders, this event celebrates everything we love about mountain biking in Fernie.

About Femmduro

Dates & Location

September 27th, 2026 | Fernie Nordic Centre (Mt. Fernie Provincial Park)

What To Expect

The Course

Long Course | 4 Stages | 26km 1,200m

Recommended for intermediate to expert riders ready to push themselves on Fernie’s most iconic terrain. Technical descents, challenging climbs, and the full mountain experience. This is where you prove what you’re made of.

Short Course | 3 Stages | 18km 800m

All the fun, all the style, perfectly sized for riders building confidence or new to enduro racing. Still challenging, still rewarding, 100% badass.

Note: In the spirit of keeping things fair and competitive, both courses will feature one blind stage, meaning it will not be released until race day. It will remain consistent with the skill level of both courses (expect Blue Tech).

The Fernie Factor

Three (Short Course) or Four (Long Course) timed *Enduro* stages on Fernie’s world-class singletrack. Why did we say *Enduro* like that, you ask? We’re embracing who we are, and more often than not, that means you see a little uphill on a Fernie downhill. So, while the stages feature a majority of descending, don’t let a bit of pedalling surprise you mid-stage.

Community Support

Ride with women who challenge each other, support each other, and know how to have a good time between stages. There will be on-course Stoke Stations (aka Aid Stations) along the way, stocked with the best snacks, hydration and volunteers to keep you smiling!

Après Everything

Because the best part of racing is celebrating together at the finish. Food, drinks, podiums, prizes and celebrations will be back at the Fernie Nordic Centre. Ride your heart out, then celebrate like it’s a fashion week after-party.

(If you’re looking for pre-race fun, be sure to crash the Steep n’ Deep XC Party Friday & Saturday)

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can participate?

Fernie Femmduro is open to all self-identifying women, trans, and non-binary riders. For the Short Course, riders should be comfortable riding 18km and 800m.

What if I've never raced an enduro before?

Perfect. Our Short Course is designed with you in mind. Plus, this community is here to support and cheer for you along the way. If you have any questions, please send us a message. Someone else is probably wondering the same thing!

What's the difference between Long and Short Course?

The Long Course features more challenging terrain and technical features. The Short Course offers a less intense but still exciting introduction to Fernie enduro racing. Both are timed, both are competitive, both are a blast.

For the Short Course, riders should be comfortable riding 18km and 800m, ranging from blue to black rated trails. The courses and pre-riding recommendations will be released when registration opens, if not earlier.

Do I need a full enduro bike?

A trail or enduro bike is recommended. For experienced riders, a downcountry cross-country bike is also a good option. If you’re unsure about your setup, reach out, and we’ll help you figure it out.

What's included in registration?

Race entry, timing chip, race number, post-race food and party. Plus, we’re working on some swag from sponsors, but the memories and friendships last way longer than material things anyway, right?!

Is there a minimum age?

Riders must be 16 years or older on race day. Strong riders younger than 16 years can email to inquire about entry.

What if the weather is bad?

We ride in all conditions. Fernie terrain simply becomes more fun in the wet. Bring your game face and your rain gear.

Can I participate on an e-bike?

Yes! There will be an e-bike category.

Only Class 1 e-bikes (pedal-assist) are permitted on the trails. Class 2 (throttle) and Class 3 (speed pedal-assist) are not permitted.
